Wrestling news site PW Mania reports that Bautista (a pro wrestler, in case you’ve forgotten) is currently “restructuring” his deal with Marvel Studios following the runaway success of Guardians of the Galaxy. The updated contract includes an appearance in 2017′s Guardians of the Galaxy 2, naturally, but also a “significant” part in The Avengers 3.

I love a good parody as you will already know. The guys at HISHE do pretty good work. It seems like they haven’t been putting out a lot of stuff recently, which makes it all the more exciting when they release something. Not too long ago, they started doing something called The Villain Pub, which is sort of analogous to the Super Cafe, but obviously for the villains. They’ve been introducing it slowly at the end or during one of their regular How it Should Have Ended videos.

Hang out with TJ and Joe for a discussion of ‘The November Man’ — which both TJ and Joe found to be a pretty poor excuse for a film all things considered. If you like to tune in for the occasional good film bashing session, this may be the podcast for you. What’s so funny is that I’m an avid honest trailer watcher. I love it, it cracks me up. So I think we talked about it in the commentary we used to sit in the room and go, “this is not going to end up in an Honest Trailer. This logic isn’t sound enough yet.” We literally tried to Honest Trailer proof the movie. Because what Honest Trailers really is, and I’ll say litmus test again, is “how sound is the logic in your film? How ridiculous are the buys that you’re asking the audience to make?” So we would just comb through the script over and over again and go, “how do we shore up this logic?…

For Jon Stewart, last night’s screening of his directorial debut, Rosewater, was a glorious homecoming of sorts. After all, he filmed Death to Smoochy in Toronto. I feel the need, the need to open my copy of Final Draft: a potential sequel to “Top Gun” has been gestating for awhile, with the project officially going into development a few years ago, with Peter Craig (“The Town”) penning a script, and original director Tony Scott and star Tom Cruise said to be returning. But the project ground to a halt two years ago when Scott passed away, and little’s been heard since.

Godzilla is one of those films that sours the more I think about it and the further removed I am from the watching of it. It just didn’t live up to the hype and was not at all the movie we were promised in the trailers. So while Honest Trailers will so often be an over-the-top critique of films I actually liked, this one hits much closer to home. Don’t get me wrong, even when I love the movie, I usually always enjoy the Honest Trailer, but this one is just spot on with actual criticism.
