‘The Flintstones’ Animated Feature Coming From Will Ferrell and Adam McKay

‘The Flintstones’ Animated Feature Coming From Will Ferrell and Adam McKay
Edward Davis — The Playlist

Because Will Ferrell had such a successful time adapting “Land Of the Lost,” he’s now teaming up with buddy Adam McKay to (exec) produce a new animated version of “The Flintstones.”

To be fair, Ferrell didn’t produce or help develop “Land Of The Lost,” but that stone-age comedy was slapped with a PG-13 rating and bombed hard back in 2009. And now “The Flintstones” seems to be headed towards a PG-rating.

A full-length animated feature, THR reports that Ferrell and McKay are executive producing a version of “The Flintstones” for Warner Bros. via their Gary Sanchez shingle. The project is…

‘Maleficent’ TV Spot Featuring On-The-Nose Voiceover

‘Maleficent’ TV Spot Featuring On-The-Nose Voiceover

Goodness, someone needs to tell Disney that they’re being a little bit disrespectful of their prospective audience at this point. It’s like, “we don’t think you’ve been getting the message we’ve been sending so let us explain it all to you like your a 5 year old kid.

This is the first trailer or TV spot from this film that I have not really enjoyed.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 — Review

3 of 5 stars
The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Since I am in a very small minority of a minority on the opinion I’m about to sling out there, I’m trying to figure out how to put this delicately. Oh, that’s right, I don’t care about putting it delicately. I did not like The Amazing Spider-Man. It was an incoherent mess of plot ideas and villains strung together in a fashion that made me question the theory of monkeys being able to write the collective works of Shakespeare given enough time. It was an extremely forgettable film that came entirely too soon after a fairly successful franchise that only faltered slightly with it’s third and…

Honest Trailer — ‘Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones’

Honest Trailer — ‘Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones’

“Come on JJ, there’s no way you can do worse than this!”

“...a man forced to act opposite lifeless CGI characters like Hayden Christensen.”

This is hilarious. And, let’s face it, while Attack of the Clones was a way better film than The Phantom Menace, it still only makes it to like a 2.5 out of 5 stars on my own scale. And every one of the criticisms in this trailer hit way to close to home. Hayden Christensen really can’t act — or at least, he didn’t in the Star Wars series. Natalie Portman can act, but the dialog she was forced to say in these films was beyond bad. And it’s hard to act…

‘Star Wars VII’ Working Title

‘Star Wars VII’ Working Title
Harry — Ain’t It Cool News

Hey folks, Harry here… in response to my article earlier today a new source has come forward to confirm information that I’ve been sitting on for over a month. As I’ve said - getting confirmation has been a *****. I know lots of people in JJ’s camp - including JJ… but when I put the title to JJ… he never even responded. That alone was suspicious. But my original source had told me back in January that Abu Dhabi was a location, and when that came to be, he sent me a scoop that the title for STAR WARS EPISODE VII was THE ANCIENT FEAR.

We talked about this last night on the podcast (catch it…

It’s My Birthday

It’s My Birthday

TJ and Chad are joined by Clark Douglas to discuss ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’. Believe it or not, TJ’s rating of the film was not the lowest. But you’ll have to listen in to get the full details. They also spend some time remembering the great acting of the legendary Bob Hoskins — mostly his performance in ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’ which was truly inspiring. Then there’s the new ‘Gotham’ trailer for the upcoming ‘Batman’ prequel series. There’s a really good look at ‘Godzilla’ that must be talked about. And of course, the guys have to talk about some of the ‘Star Wars’ news going around. This is a “don’t miss” episode!

Marc Webb Names His Villain(s) for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 3’

Marc Webb Names His Villain(s) for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 3’
Alex Maidy — JoBlo

With THE SINISTER SIX and VENOM movies already on their way to the big screen, the question will be if the bad guy in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 3 will connect to one of those movies or be an all new foe for the hero.

During an interview with Comic Book.com, director Marc Webb was asked which villain he would like to tackle next. His answer was not surprising given what we know about the next films in development but should serve as a positive sign for fans of the comic book series.

“Kraven,” Webb replied. “Kraven. I like the idea of Kraven. The Vulture. Ock. I always thought the idea of…

‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ Clip from ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ Credits

‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ Clip from ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ Credits

One of the things that made seeing The Amazing Spider-Man 2 most worth my while was seeing an action sequence from the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past. I’m not really sure how Sony got roped in to doing the promotional work for Twentieth Century Fox but I loved seeing it. I continue to be more and more confident that this upcoming X-Men film is exactly what I’ve been wanting from the franchise for many years. And hopefully with the time travel stuff going on, we can just wipe X-Men: The Last Stand from existence — it’s just too bad we can’t wipe it from our memories as well.

The trouble…

‘Gotham’ Trailer

‘Gotham’ Trailer

I’m really tired of the prequels and origin stories, guys. That said, this does look kind of interesting. It has obvious similarities to the original story we saw for Bruce Wayne in Batman Begins and quite obvious differences — not unlike (I can’t believe I’m about to make this comparison) with Lois and Clark (believe me, that caused me as much or more pain than you) did with Superman where there were obvious similarities and obvious differerences from the origin story given to us in Superman: The Movie. And it sure looks like, unlike Lois and Clark, Gotham, will actually be good — as well as…

A REALLY Good Look at Godzilla

A REALLY Good Look at Godzilla

We had a pretty good look at the beast in the last trailer, but this clip really lingers and shows Godzilla in all his glory.

The weird thing about this clip though, is the flying thing which does not appear to be Godzilla (I would think he’d be too heave to fly anyway). Admitedly I know nothing (as in, quite litterally, NOTHING) about Godzilla, and so I have no idea what this flying dragon like animal is and if he/she is new or if I should already know what it is.

Anyway, here’s your close up:
