Well, it looks like this movie is on it’s way to the box office, despite my better judgement. I expect this film to be really horrible, but they are certainly pushing it. I’ve seen the trailer in front of several movies this year, and now they’ve released the first four minutes and I have it here for you in case you need a morning dose of stupid.

ILM has posted to their YouTube account a new behind the scenes featurette showing how one of the longest and most difficult CGI sequences was put together. What made the particular shot such a massive undertaking is that it’s a long moving shot going from avenger to avenger without cutting, showing them fighting the enemy in New York.

Having quietly stolen the show in Thor with his conniving villainy, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki was a worthy adversary for the Avengers in their big-screen debut earlier this year.

However, despite the character’s undoubted charisma and boo-hiss nature, Hiddleston thinks it unlikely that he’ll be returning to the Avengers sequel in 2015.

Yep, that’s Ellen McLain lending a perfectly replicated GLaDOS voice to the computer systems of Pacific Rim’s mega mechs. Someone—perhaps even del Toro himself—on the film crew is an avid Portal fan and decided McLain’s modulated tones jives perfectly with punching giant beasts in the face. Considering everyone’s favorite evil AI wouldn’t ever get caught actually helping humans, that’s an impressive feat.
