You know, it’s funny, I used to make documentaries, but I’m not a big documentary watcher. That said, this looks like one I want to see. When I was growing up, my cousin had an Atari. I don’t remember much about it except that by today’s standards the graphics, the gameplay, everything about it would be considered pretty bad. But by standards back then, they were AMAZING. I remember nothing about this E.T. game and the demise of Atari, but I don know that Atari basically disappeared. I’d like to know more.

Seriously though, Night at the Musuem, and Night at the Museum 2 were a surprising amount of fun. Strangely I liked the second installment almost better than the first. That said, I can see this film not being so great. I’m not sure what the story is yet. Additionally, I don’t see Amy Adams anywhere in this film. She was probably what was so great about the second film. Well, Hank Azaria was pretty good too.

As if you need more reasons to be excited for this upcoming film, here’s a pretty awesome clip starring a racoon coming up with a plan to get out of prison. He also seems pretty upset with life in general.

Guardians of the Galaxy is IN THEATERS THIS WEEKEND! YAY!

TJ, Joe, and Clark discuss Philip Seymour Hoffman’s final leading role in ‘A Most Wanted Man’. It’s a brilliant performance punctuated by great sadness at the loss of such a great actor. The film is well worth seeing as all three agree. Other topics include Community Season 6 being released to VOD one episode at a time, ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ deluxe soundtrack, the ‘Mockingjay Part 1’ Trailer, ‘Ant-Man’, and Pierce Brosnan in the trailer for ‘The November Man’.

While Yahoo has been producing modest amounts of exclusive video content (such as the underseen faux reality series “Burning Love”), the tech giant is set to challenge the likes of Netflix and Amazon in the “prestige tv” sweepstakes . At the end of June, Yahoo swooped in and saved “Community” from disappearing forever by ordering up a sixth season, and it wasn’t long before movie talks emerged. But will the company squander its most high profile programming asset by presenting it in a week-to-week schedule that viewers (especially online) have long abandoned?

John C. Reilly showed up on Letterman recently, and he came bearing a gift, a clip from the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy... allegedly anyway.

Reilly is playing a law enforcement officer who has the unique pleasure of arresting and locking up the afore mentioned Guardians. Apparently, according to Reilly some of the acting was difficult because a lot of the film is apparently fictional and in front of a green screen (who knew, right?).

Take a look at this clip and I think you’ll be intrigued by the upcoming film…

But seriously, though, the real Guardians of the Galaxy is coming out…

A special two-disc deluxe edition of Michael Giacchino’s Star Trek Into Darkness score is now available from Varese Sarabande. Including nearly two-hours of music, the expanded edition, which is limited to 6,000 copies, builds upon the initial (standard) edition released along with the film last year.

Coming on December 17 of this year, Peter Jackson will prove yet again that a little restraint, a little bit of a limitation, and healthy dose of humility would have gone a long way toward helping The Hobbit trilogy be so much better. There is just no reason this story should ever have been three films. One would have been the perfect length. But the money making machine must have gone on.

I don’t think Peter Jackson has reached Michael Bay standards of excess by any stretch of the imagination, but it does feel like he’s leaving behind the artistry and well crafted filmmaking of The Lord of…

If you were looking for a modern spy thriller with lots of bangs and explosions, a lot of high paced action scenes and over the top explosions and bombs going off in all directions, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that this film is not the right one for you. There is only one scene in this film which might fall under the heading of action chase scene — and the chase part lasted exactly 5 seconds.

The thing is, this film is almost too slowly paced. Almost. Perhaps this is what actually elevates the film that much higher. There was a knife edge to ride, and this film rides it brilliantly…
