We’re obviously going into spoilers here so please be aware!

This article contains major spoilers for Thor: The Dark World.

One of the best things about Thor: The Dark World is it leaves many intriguing unanswered questions. The biggest one involves the ripple effect of the mid-credits scene, which we’ll discuss shortly. But there’s also the fate of Loki. As you know if you’ve seen the film, there’s no real definitive answer as to Loki’s intentions at the end. To get an answer, I went to the source (or sources): Tom Hiddleston, director Alan Taylor and Marvel President Kevin Feige. I asked…

Next Bourne Film in 2015 With Jeremy Renner
Germain Lussier - /Film

Justin Lin is going from fast and furious cars to fast and furious fists. The director has just signed on to direct the next Bourne movie, which will follow Aaron Cross (Jeremy Renner) in a story written by Anthony Peckham (Sherlock Holmes). Universal is hoping for a summer 2015 release.

Sorry, give me a minute, I just threw up a little…

No really, The Bourne Legacy was so bad. Why would we want to make another one? What’s it going to be called? The Bourne Folly? The Bourne Stupidity? At least the fired the terrible director from the last film.

Missing the Point Entirely - A ‘Hunger Games’ Theme Park

Missing the Point Entirely - A ‘Hunger Games’ Theme Park
Devin Faraci - Baddass Digest

What if The Hunger Games: Catching Fire turned out to be a really great movie that was very smartly about subversion, and what if the people releasing the movie - Lionsgate - sort of never got it and didn’t understand the concept of bread & circuses distracting the masses from the harsh realities of a system they could - and should - overthrow. Well, they might open a theme park based on the kids-killing-kids fun of The Hunger Games

Actually, they are.

Wow. They’ve got to be joking. This is a joke, right? Right???

Talk about missing the point indeed. This is truly the definition of…

JJ On ‘Star Wars’ and Secrecy

JJ On ‘Star Wars’ and Secrecy
Sean O’Connell - CinemaBlend

J.J. Abrams insists that he wants to maintain a strong sense of mystery regarding his Star Wars: Episode VII … proving he learned very little about the frustrations whipped up by the vagaries and misdirections that swirled around his Star Trek Into Darkness.

Oh please, people! “Learned very little”. What does that even mean? This is part of the game and part of the fun. He tries to keep it secret and we try to ferret out any little bits of information we can. It’s part of the fun. And from the filmmaker’s point of view I totally get the secrecy and trying to maintain surprise and mystery…

Jon Favreau is in talks to finally make that big budget Disney family movie we’re been waiting for. No, not Magic Kingdom. Instead, the director of Iron Man and Iron Man 2 is in negotiations to direct a new version of Rudyard Kipling‘s classic tale The Jungle Book.

Deadline broke the news of the film, which will be based on a new adaptation written by Justin Marks (Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li). Here’s what Favreau said to Deadline:

Bill Condon on ‘The Fifth Estate’ Disaster

Bill Condon on ‘The Fifth Estate’ Disaster
Laura Hertzfeld - Entertainment Weekly

By all accounts, The Fifth Estate — Bill Condon’s movie about WikiLeaks mastermind Julian Assange, starring Benedict Cumberbatch — was a box office disaster. After a lukewarm reception at Toronto and opening to mixed reviews last month, the film has only made a little over $3 million since its Oct. 18 release. Director Condon told EW he blames the lackluster response on Assange.

“We were all so excited [around the release date] because it was just in the news recently, but the opposite might be true, that it simply wore out its welcome and that there is something about Assange. I do think…

‘Star Wars VII’ “Must” Open in 2015

‘Star Wars VII’ “Must” Open in 2015
Russ Fischer - /Film

More details continue to leak out about the behind the scenes tension at Lucasfilm that led to J.J. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan taking over the script for Star Wars Episode VII. More and more, it’s sounding like decisions made by execs and money people back at the inception of the Lucasfilm purchase were way too ambitious, with the locked in 2015 release date causing a rushed process on the creative side, and forcing Disney execs to demand the film be completed in a time frame that seems unreasonable to those making the film.

THR reports on the situation, saying that “producer Kathleen…

5 Minutes of ‘Captain America 2’ Attached to *3D* ‘Thor 2’
Kevin Jagernauth - The Playlist

With “Thor: The Dark World” headed to theaters around the world, Marvel has already tagged on the mandatory credits stinger and probably other little nerdtacular bits to teaser other things in the ever growing Marvel-verse. But there will be one more thing for dudes dressed up as Loki to cheer about: five minutes of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.” Whoa! Right? Well, hold up there, because it will also be shown during 3D screenings for the movie. Well done, Marvel, well done.

Ugh! I didn’t plan on seeing the film in 3D. I don’t want to see the film in 3D. Curse you, Marvel!
