We’re now less than one month away from seeing Man of Steel in theaters. But if that date still seems a long way away, then perhaps this can tide you over just a bit. Actors, producers, and the director weighs in on what this version of Superman is all about, how it’s different, what it explores, etc.

Two projects Bird has discussed as follow-ups are a sequel to The Incredibles, something fans have been begging for since 2004, and a new Star Wars movie. The director talked about both in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, confirming he’s constantly thinking about The Incredibles 2, would like to do that, and that Kathleen Kennedy ask him if he wanted to direct Star Wars Episode VII.

So yeah, there was something to those rumors we talked about back before J.J. got the job that Brad Bird might be taking on the job.

Alright, fasten your seat belts, I need to do a brain dump of all the Star Trek stuff I’ve accumulated. I’m thinking I might need to change the name of this site to TrekByte as much Star Trek stuff I’ve been talking about posting about lately. But hey, it’s the big film right now, and indications are it’s going to tear up the box office this weekend here in the U.S.

I’m really interested to see where this film is going, and even what genre it is. Is it fantasy? sci-fi? drama? it’s a little strange. All these clips and trailers are making it look like there’s truly something supernatural going on and not just illusion, placing it squarely in the fantasy and/or sci-fi genre.

In any event, it has certainly captured my interest. And the film has quite the cast with Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, and more. I mean that’s quite a bit of star power, right? So that certainly says to me the…

So by now those of you who are big Arrested Development fans are drooling at the possibilities with the 4^th season now coming to Netflix on May 26^th after the show’s long hiatus. I’m still excited by this new developing model of content distribution, and a world where this on demand content distributor is funding and making shows. It’s really exciting.

So here’s a clip that aired on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Again, I know nothing about the series, so I have to ask the question, is the bald guy Newton from Men in Black II?

I’ll be writing my review later, but being the nerd that I am, I wanted to give a quick report on the new Star Trek film that we’ve all been so eagerly anticipating.

I purchased my IMAX 3D tickets a couple months ago as soon as they became available. I got what I consider to be one of the best seats in the house — about 3 rows up from the back in the dead center. I was not thrilled with the idea of seeing this film first in 3D, but at the time I believed that it would be the only way to see the film last night. As it turns out, I was mistaken as the general release was moved up to today…

Even while the Marvel film universe is in full swing, this upcoming TV show hopes to show us another side, a glimpse into an alternative viewpoint of that universe. ABC has picked up the show as I’ve already mentioned on Monday, and we saw a the teaser trailer with that announcement, and now we’ve seen a full trailer.

So in the spirit of continued teasing and promotion, there are two new clips floating around that look pretty fun which expand on quick clips and scenes we’ve already seen in that trailer.
