Hints about ‘Wreck-it Ralph’ Sequel

Hints about ‘Wreck-it Ralph’ Sequel
Hypable

Our discovery of the Wreck-It Ralph sequel idea being kicked around was unintentionally discovered at first. We had wanted to ask Moore specifically about Ralph’s world and if other Fix It Felix, Jr. arcade games have Ralphs who’s personalities are the same as the character in the movie.

“That is so funny that you ask that,” Moore said with a laugh, “because I was just talking to John C. Reilly [the voice of Ralph] and we were talking about exactly that. Are there other Ralphs? What would happen if another Fix It Felix, Jr. game was plugged in? Are there other Ralphs that are more…

‘Jack the Giant Slayer’ Cost $185 Million

‘Jack the Giant Slayer’ Cost $185 Million
Entertainment Weekly

The movie, which will be distributed by Warner Bros, was financed for $185 million, according to its production house, New Line, though rumors persist that its budget actually ballooned to at least $200 million due to costly reshoots. (New Line and Warner Bros. — which like Entertainment Weekly, are owned by Time Warner — did not make anyone available for further comment.)

Okay first, what a ghastly sentence. There’s going to be a comma shortage if there are too many more sentences like that written!

But more to the point and topic at hand, $185 Million?!? I’m looking forward to this…

A ‘Jack Reacher’ Sequel

A ‘Jack Reacher’ Sequel
Collider

Now that the film has crossed $200 million worldwide, Paramount and Skydance are reportedly in the process of building the scaffolding for another installment.  The previously cited box office target was $250 million, but when you’ve got a proven draw in Tom Cruise (Jack Reacher marks his 19th film to hit that total), it makes those dice easier to roll.

Well that makes me happy this morning. I liked the film well enough and would be glad to see a sequel. The only question left is which novel will the next film be based on in the series? Last year’s film simply titled Jack Reacher was…

‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ - Two New TV Spots

‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ - Two New TV Spots

G.I. Joe is one of those films I look forward to just because it’s likely to be fun. I don’t expect it to be a great film, or have an overabundance of plot or anything like that, but it does look fun.

Then again, the last film I looked forward to in the same vain didn’t work out so well for me (A Good Day to Die hard which I just didn’t enjoy at all). Still, I can’t help it. I enjoyed the first one and I’m hoping this one will be at least that enjoyable.

Here’s two new TV spots for you to feast your eyes upon.

Bryan Singer to “Fix” ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’

Bryan Singer to “Fix” ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’
/Film

Bryan Singer‘s first two X-Men movies are generally very well-regarded. They were so well-regarded, in fact, that Singer was given the keys to the biggest superhero of them all: Superman, leaving the door open for Brett Ratner to direct the third film, X-Men: The Last Stand. The results were disappointing. The Last Stand looked like an X-Men film, but the script was all over the place, killing major characters and all but destroying the franchise. Thankfully, Matthew Vaughn swooped in to fixed much of the damage with the reboot X-Men: First Class.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. I…

Ben Kingsley’s Mandarin Character Poster for ‘Iron Man 3’

Ben Kingsley’s Mandarin Character Poster for ‘Iron Man 3’

While the first Iron Man was a great film, it was not necessarily so because of it’s villain, Obadiah Stane played by Jeff Bridges. He was okay, but not particularly menacing or memorable. The film was more about Tony Stark and his character development and that’s what made the film good.

The second Iron Man film was pretty much an unmitigated disaster because it tried to focus on the villain at least as much as it did on Stark and failed miserably.

Now we have a new villain for Iron Man 3, and he looks pretty legit. The Mandarin as played by Ben Kingsley looks like he’s going to be…

Michael Bay to Bring Megan Fox to TMNT

Michael Bay to Bring Megan Fox to TMNT
/Film

Bay revealed the news via his personal website, writing “TMNT: we are bringing Megan Fox back into the family!” Variety adds that Fox will play April O’Neil, and that the studio met with several actresses including Jane Levy, Anna Kendrick, and Elizabeth Olsen for the role. The character started out in Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird‘s original comics as a computer programmer, but is probably better remembered for her TV cartoon incarnation as a television reporter.

I mean, why wouldn’t you go for super hot rather than actual acting talent?

ZING!

Seriously though, it’s Michael Bay and…

‘Oz the Great and Powerful’ Bubbles and Fireballs (clips)

‘Oz the Great and Powerful’ Bubbles and Fireballs (clips)

Are you ready to follow the yellow brick road once again? I sure am, this looks far, far better than the 1939 The Wizard of Oz which I have always hated for as long as I can remember. I know that’s sacrilege to many, but I never liked it. I am excited to see what they are doing with this though.

Here are two clips from the upcoming film.

Jack the Giant Slayer - Featurette 1

Jack the Giant Slayer - Featurette 1

Who’s ready to see what Bryan Singer has been up to with Nicholas Hoult, Ewan McGregor, Ian McShane, and Bill Nighy? I sure am!

Jack the Giant Slayer tells the story of an ancient war that is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack, into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom, its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable…

We Will See Klingons This Summer!

We Will See Klingons This Summer!
The Playlist

As usual, J.J. Abrams has done his best to keep a tight lid on the project which is sure to leave fans both excited and frustrated. But for those who were wondering whether we’d get to see any familiar faces that weren’t in the first film, you can at least count on this: the Klingons will be back.

As Abrams told MTV News, “Their role in this is definitely adversarial and you’ll see how that plays out.” What exactly that entails could be anyone’s guess at this point.

Great! The Klingons were always great villains. I’m surprised J.J. is confirming it though, being a man known for his…
