Robert Downey Jr. Says ‘Sherlock Holmes 3’ Is Happening
Bruna Nessif — EOnline

Robert Downey Jr. may have backtracked on the idea that he’s willing to do Iron Man 4(sorry, Tony Stark fans!), but it looks like he’s serious about this one.

The actor participated in the ever-so-popular Reddit AMA yesterday to promote his upcoming film The Judge, and to answer a number of fans’ burning questions—like are we ever going to see a Sherlock Holmes 3 or what?!

“Yes, we have a Sherlock 3 in development. We want it to be the best of the series, so that’s a pretty tall order,” RDJ answered, “Also, Perry Mason is a property I’m looking forward to developing further, going back to…

Robert Downey Jr. Backtracks a Little on ‘Iron Man 4’

Robert Downey Jr. Backtracks a Little on ‘Iron Man 4’
Matt Goldberg — Collider

Yesterday on EllenRobert Downey Jr. said he and Marvel were in the middle of negotiations for Iron Man 4.  However, later that night, he went on The Late Show, and told David Letterman that not only is there no script, but when pressed to give a definitive answer on whether he would do the movie, Downey responded:

“Just between us, no — but I’m going to do other stuff with Marvel. I’m still going to be involved with Marvel and there’s going to be plenty of other fun stuff.”

He also said that Marvel does “have a plan, and I think they’re going to announce — they’re very secretive about…

Robert Downey Jr. Confirms ‘Iron Man 4’ Negotiations

Robert Downey Jr. Confirms ‘Iron Man 4’ Negotiations

He’s doing Iron Man 4. No, he’s not doing Iron Man 4. No, wait, he is. No, Marvel has no plans for a Robert Downey Jr. Iron Man 4. Blah blah blah.

There’s been a lot of back and forth on this, but now RDJ seemingly confirmed that he is in negotiations for a fourth film — which would indicate there are plans for one. I’ve personally always sort of thought there would be. It’s a pretty big cash cow for Marvel to not do anything with.

See the quick video where he sort kind of hems and haws then confirms it.

Sony Developing ‘Avengers’ Like ‘Robin Hood’ Franchise

Sony Developing ‘Avengers’ Like ‘Robin Hood’ Franchise
Kevin Jagernauth — The Playlist

Producer Michael De Luca has managed to get Sony to make a seven-figure deal for “Hood,” via a pitch from Cory Goodman (”Priest,” “The Last Witch Hunter”) and Jeremy Lott (”The Falling”). And as you might guess from the title (which isn’t to be confused with the project The Wachowskis tried to get moving a few years ago), this project will apply the superhero treatment to Robin Hood, Little John, Friar Tuck and Will Scarlett, creating an Avengers-esque, interconnected cinematic universe, with a tone said to be between “Mission: Impossible” and “Fast & Furious.” Lol.

LOL indeed. This sounds…

‘Camp X-Ray’ Trailer 2

‘Camp X-Ray’ Trailer 2

I’ve talked about it before, but I really think Kristen Stewart has gotten a bad rap because of the Twilight films. I don’t think she’s that horrible in them, I think people love to hate on Twilight, and therefore by extension, Kristen. She’s not amazing, or special or anything, but she’s fine.

Even so, what I have read from a few people who it seems have seen this film and given it a fair and honest look is that she turns in an a-list performance. Sure there are dissenters, but those that I have read saying the film is terrible and she’s terrible in it don’t seem like they’ve given the film…

‘The Imitation Game’ International Trailer

‘The Imitation Game’ International Trailer

Have you heard of Alan Turing? Perhaps you’ve heard of The Turing Test? Well The Imitation Game is about the creator of The Touring Test and his quest as a cytologist to break the code the Nazis used during WWII called “The Enigma Code”. As history would bear out, the cracking of the enigma code was a great stepping stone on the way to victory for the Allies. The story of how that code was cracked and the man behind it is one that warrants the telling of a story. And so told it shall be. Benedict Cumberbatch looks, as always, nothing short of amazing.

I’m very excited about this film. We’ll…

‘Inside Out’, A Major “Emotion” Picture

‘Inside Out’, A Major “Emotion” Picture

Has Pixar ever done a trailer like this? I may be wrong but I don’t remember it. The majority of the trailer is clips from other Pixar films. These clips, along with the help of onscreen text, show us the range of emotions and feelings PIxar has been through in their many films over the years. It then concludes with introducing us to some actual footage and characters from the upcoming film.

It felt very odd and frankly, I don’t think I liked it. There was something very distinctly back patting about this approach. There is a time and place in marketing messages to gently remind us of the…

Why I Want to Be Left Behind

Why I Want to Be Left Behind
Joshua Ryan Butler — The Christian Post

The rapture is new to the Christian scene. It arose in the late 1800’s, when Margaret MacDonald, a fifteen-year-old Scottish girl, claimed to have it revealed to her in a vision. Her vision was then picked up and popularized by the famous British preacher J.N. Darby, during his extensive travels in America.

All love to the high school prom queen and traveling street preacher, but this is a suspiciously short track record for nearly 2000 years of Christian theology.

You must go read all of this right now. And please, whatever you do, do not give money to this monstrosity of a film known by…
