The Avengers Will Assemble in February

The Avengers Will Assemble in February

Joss let loose that his team of Avengers will assemble for filming in February of 2014. Obviously we know that they would have to start filming in 2014 to make a May 2015 release date, but thus far we had not heard a start date for the filming. Now we’re honing in on it. Inquiring minds like to know this stuff.

Check out the video below for that and other goodies. Joss talks about having his fingers in all the pies over at Marvel, how the filming of the S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot went, the secrecy surrounding the Marvel universe and how difficult that is, how his schedule with Marvel now does not…

Major bummer. That’s too bad. Condolences to his family.

Here’s the famous scene from Star Wars.

Joseph Kosinski Interviewed about ‘Oblivion’

Joseph Kosinski Interviewed about ‘Oblivion’
Charlie Schmidlin - The Playlist

Ambition is clearly never waning for the architect-turned-filmmaker, and with “Oblivion” set to hit theaters stateside this week, we sat down with him to discuss the film’s long journey to the screen, in-camera special effects, and his relationship with Disney the entire time.

...

Did you meld advice like that from other directors, such as [early mentor] David Fincher?
David was really instrumental more when I first got to Los Angeles. He really loved my stuff, and actually helped me get my first commercial job, which was the “Gears of War” [“Mad World” spot] I did. David really…

Harrison Ford On Hesitance to Talk ‘Star Wars’

Harrison Ford On Hesitance to Talk ‘Star Wars’
Justin Harp - Digital Spy

“I got nothing to say about that,” he told the newspaper.

The star went on to explain his reasoning for staying tight-lipped: “If someone says ‘Trust me’, and it’s not a sushi chef in a sushi bar, I’m immediately suspicious. I’m not a faith-based actor.”

Ford went on to discuss the effect Star Wars had on his career, revealing that he was nearly type-cast in Han Solo-esque roles.

You can’t really blame the guy. I mean especially since the roll did cause him some pain in the typecasting department early on, and also because, he’s not allowed to say anything anyway. In some…

‘Snow White’ Sequel Aiming for 2015

‘Snow White’ Sequel Aiming for 2015
Kevin Jagernauth - The Playlist

Collider reveals that Universal Pictures chairman Adam Fogelson revealed that the studio is aiming the much discussed “Snow White And The Huntsman” for a 2015 release. While the movie wasn’t a mega sized smash hit, it still collected nearly $400 million worldwide, and perhaps more importantly: when you have a movie with Bella and Thor in it, you don’t toss it out without some serious consideration. There were a lot of rumors last summer about Kristen Stewart being dropped from the sequel following the semi-scandal regarding her relationship with director Rupert Sandersbut last we heard,…

The “S” Stands for Hope? - New ‘Man of Steel’ Trailer

The “S” Stands for Hope? - New ‘Man of Steel’ Trailer

Talk about a week for epic trailers! Yesterday just before lunch (for me anyway in the Central Time Zone), Star Trek Into Darkness released the last big, and quite epic, trailer before that film hits theaters. Then late yesterday, what is presumably the last big, and also epic, trailer for Man of Steel hit the internet leaving fans breathless. It certainly whet my appetite pretty good, and as much of an apologist as I am for Superman Returns, and as irritated as I am for yet another reboot, this trailer sufficiently did it’s job to get me excited to see what Zack Snyder and Christopher…
