Joss let loose that his team of Avengers will assemble for filming in February of 2014. Obviously we know that they would have to start filming in 2014 to make a May 2015 release date, but thus far we had not heard a start date for the filming. Now we’re honing in on it. Actor Richard LeParmentier, best known for portraying Admiral Motti in Star Wars, died suddenly at the age of 66 while visiting his family in Austin, Texas. The Pittsburgh-born actor worked regularly throughout the 70s and 80s, appearing in such films as Octopussy and Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Collider reveals that Universal Pictures chairman Adam Fogelson revealed that the studio is aiming the much discussed “Snow White And The Huntsman” for a 2015 release. Director Michael Bay delivered a few pieces of news last night at CinemaCon, revealing that he’ll shoot the big showcase scenes in Transformers 4 with the new IMAX 3D digital camera and that Stanley Tucci will join the cast.

Bay was reportedly very excited to have Company You Keep star Tucci onboard the movie, which will star Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltz, as well as another mysterious young actor that Bay teased will be announced very shortly.

At this time, nothing has been revealed about Tucci’s character.

Joss Whedon’s The Avengers was the biggest movie of 2012. It brought in a domestic total of $623.3 Million, and a worldwide total of $1.5 Billion. Yes that’s with a “B”, and yes, you are reading that right. It made $888.4 Million overseas. It’s a little crazy, right?

So it’s no surprise that everyone is excited about The Avengers 2, and the Marvel universe in general. Everyone is always begging Joss Whedon to throw us some juicy details about the upcoming film. Of course he can’t tell us much, both contractually, and as a good story teller. Who wants to spoil all the fun, right?

Talk about a week for epic trailers! Yesterday just before lunch (for me anyway in the Central Time Zone), Star Trek Into Darkness released the last big, and quite epic, trailer before that film hits theaters.
