Oh, wait, sorry. That’s not what this is. This is a movie about vampires, because we haven’t had enough of that craze lately. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve enjoyed my share of vampire lore — I really enjoyed Buffy and Angel, and to a lesser extent (quite a bit lesser extent), The Twilight Saga. I know this has been a matter of contention with me from some of my loyal readers and all, but in any event, I’m ready for the vampire obsession to be over. We had our fun, now let’s stop beating this thing to death.

So far we’ve had plenty of reasons to look forward to seeing the Bluths get back together for Season 4 of Arrested Development. But now it turns out that the long-awaited reunion wasn’t actually much of a reunion at all.

Due to scheduling issues, Mitch Hurwitz admits, some scenes featuring multiple characters were actually shot at totally different times, with the actors’ performances edited together in post-production. The entire cast was only on set together for a total of two days. We won’t know until the new episodes hit this weekend how that method actually worked out for them, but…

So just what is it that makes a good Star Trek film? I’m sure I don’t fully and completely understand the magic that makes any film a really good film, but I will say that most of it is wrapped up in Star Trek Into Darkness. Not only is it a good Star Trek film, but it’s a good film. For me, this is a turn around from J.J. Abrams’ 2009 installment, simply titled Star Trek. I did not feel that film was a good film, nor did I feel that it was a good Star Trek film.

As I have said before, I expect this film to be fun, if somewhat lacking in the story department, and full of Johnny Depp humor. Even though this film is called The Lone Ranger and Depp is not playing The Lone Ranger, but Tonto, he still gets first billing. I wonder why that is? Oh, right, because this film is just another vehicle for the delivery of Depp’s unique style. This looks like Johnny Depp playing Captain Jack Sparrow, playing an indian named Tonto.

I have a feeling that a few of you will be interested in this. For whatever reason, he seems to be the favorite X-Men character for a lot of people. I even have family members who feel the same way.

And you know what, he’s not a bad character so I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next. A high-profile remake of the classic Jules Verne adaptation 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea has reportedly been shelved by studio Disney after Brad Pitt quit the lead role.

This trailer starts with that business that went viral about the garbled message from General Zod, then it just gets crazy. This trailer is obviously meant to appeal to both those fans of action movies with lots of action, and I think also the comic book fans among us. I like a little action, but I am no comic book fan. Still, this trailer has a little bit of appeal, though I do hope they are over-selling the action a bit.
