It is standard procedure for a comic book movie to end with a post-credits scene that points toward the next film to come. Once the full credits roll has gone by at the end of X-Men: Days of Future Past, there’s a big one. But the scene doesn’t feature anyone that casual audiences are likely to recognize, and it isn’t set in a location that is familiar to the X-Men films. So what’s it all about? Edge of Tomorrow has been getting really great reviews so far — at least what few of them we’ve been getting. Sure, Tom Cruise is playing a reluctant hero in a futurestic Sci-Fi film, and you might think that would get old. But so far, I’ve just not gotten tire of it.

From the beginning, we’ve heard that X-Men: Apocalypse would be all about the First Class cast. But apparently, the filmmakers are still saving some room for the original X-Men.

In a new interview, writer Simon Kinberg confirmed that the classic cast would “certainly” be involved, albeit in supporting roles. Previously, only Hugh Jackman was expected to return.

Edgar Wright and Marvel are in that awkward, post-break-up stage, when it’s a good idea to stay off of social media because you can’t trust what you might possibly say about the other party. Wright is a dedicated Tweeter, and savvy fans (as well as Marvel die-hards) have been paying close attention to his feed to see if he’d have an official statement regarding the split with Marvel Studios over Ant-Man. That out of the way, I thought this was a pretty good run down of some of the easter eggs going on in X-Men: Days of Future Past, including some that I didn’t catch. But, although he titles it Every Easter Egg in X-Men: Days of Future Past, I would guess it’s not every one.

Fans of Scarlett Johansson in butt-kicking mode have less time to wait before she tears up the big screen again.

Lucy, the actress’ new thriller directed by Luc Besson, has been bumped up two weeks. The Universal film will now hit theaters July 25, after it was originally slated for an Aug. 8 debut.
