According to THR, the footage that Walker shot before his death will be utilized, and the script by Chris Morgantweaked, so that the character of Brian O’Conner can exit the film, but he won’t be killed off. In short, they are trying to find a respectful way to handle the loss of Walker, without removing him entirely from the sequel and still working within the framework and story of the film. Makes sense, though we understand why the movie was pushed, as it’s not something you want to rush to make work.

It won’t be too long now and we’ll be able to see if this film is any good for ourselves. But in the meantime, Paramount is making with the promotional items. This time we get a nice fat clip featuring a shaky camera, and a lot of hard to follow action. Frankly I hope the film in its totality is a whole lot better than this.

The bottom line in this clip is it appears Jack Ryan (Chris Pine) has been deceived about the type of job he was in for when someone tries to kill him. His boss (Kevin Costner) isn’t exactly rolling out the sympathy wagon either.

It’s time to get this show back on the road after all this Christmas vacationing, and partying it up and stuff. You guys have stuff to see, and I have stuff for you to see this weekend. There are no new films this weekend that look like they are worth mentioning. But there were some new films that came out the weekend that I did not do a “what to see”. Those will just be mixed in here, I’m going to go in order of the top grossing at the box office. Let’s dive in.

Remeber that big kickstarter campaign to fund a Veronica Mars film so that fans could get what they always wanted and stuff? Well, it’s starting to pay off now in the form of the film’s first trailer.

I never watched the show. I’m trying to find time to remedy that now, but I just never did. I think I heard about it a time or two though. For all its drudgery, the word that best describes Wolf‘s approach to its debauchery is “gleeful.” Perhaps the filmmakers really did approach the story with a “holy crap, look what this guy did!” mentality and let the chips fall where they may, but in the era in which the film has been released, with many of its criminals paying no real price for their crimes, and with the shadow of a much harsher economic reality dividing the United States into two vastly unequal halves, The Wolf of Wall Street seems crass, unconsidered, and brutish. ABC — which to date among broadcast networks has offered perhaps the most regular and wide availability of full episodes via streaming — is set to enact some limitations.

The network announced on its Watch ABC portal that starting Monday, Jan. 6, only those who can verify their cable subscription* — or those who use the Hulu Plus premium service — will be able to access full episodes the following day.

Those aiming to play morning-after catch-up without a valid cable service log-in or via Hulu’s free service will need to wait eight days after broadcast before new episodes become available…

The actor, most notable for his role as Uncle Phil on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, has died at the age of 68.

According to Avery’s manager Toni Benson, Avery passed away from complications of open-heart surgery, CNN reports.

Avery had appeared in many other television shows since his time on the now classic Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, including CSI, That ’70s Show, The Closer, as well as appearances playing a judge on L.A. Law.

Avery most recently landed a role in Zach Braff’s new film Wish I Was Here, which is slated to premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

StarringVoyager‘s John Savage as Captain Rudy Ransom, Gary Lockwood reprising his TOS role as Gary Mitchell, and Blanca Blanco as Lt. Cmdr. T’Lexa, Star Trek Equinox: The Night of Time, is written by Camren T. Burton and John Savage.

The filmmakers plan to present the film to CBS in the next year, as a pilot for a potential television series.
