As if videos from the set of J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars movie featuring live-action alien costumes and full-scale X-Wing Fighters haven’t been enough of a clue, Rian Johnson, who will pick up the franchise after Abrams, says Star Wars: Episode VII will feature more practical, traditional effects.

Abrams currently deep into directing Star Wars: Episode VII, Paramount has turned to Roberto Orci, co-writer and producer of Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek Into Darkness, to direct what we still only know as Star Trek 3, set to release in 2016 to coincide with the franchise’s 50th anniversary.

Comicbook.com is reporting that Disney plans to release the original Star Wars trilogy in their original, untouched form, on Blu-ray. The report claims that Disney has been hampered by getting the orginal negatives into good shape. There’s one problem with this report:

Disney doesn’t own Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back or Return of the Jedi. Fox does. They also own the distribution rights to the Prequels.

Zelda Williams abandoned her Twitter and Instagram accounts Tuesday after saying at least two people were sending her Photoshopped images of her father’s dead body and other disturbing messages—some blaming her for father’s death.

“Godzilla 2: Maybe We’ll See More Godzilla This Time” will be released on June 18, 2018, at which time the film will square off against Untitled Pixar Animation Movie. Gareth Edwards’ take on the classic giant radioactive reptile template stomped its way to gross over $500 million worldwide, which isn’t bad for a monster movie with more Aaron Taylor-Johnson therein than monsters.

I hope it’s better than the first which wasn’t terrible, but in the end turned out to be fairly forgettable.
