‘Arrested Development’ Green Screened Together

‘Arrested Development’ Green Screened Together
Angie Han - /Film

So far we’ve had plenty of reasons to look forward to seeing the Bluths get back together for Season 4 of Arrested Development. But now it turns out that the long-awaited reunion wasn’t actually much of a reunion at all.

Due to scheduling issues, Mitch Hurwitz admits, some scenes featuring multiple characters were actually shot at totally different times, with the actors’ performances edited together in post-production. The entire cast was only on set together for a total of two days. We won’t know until the new episodes hit this weekend how that method actually worked out for them, but…

I’ve never been into animated shows based on a live action universe, I don’t see any reason to start now…

Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said, “I couldn’t be more excited to explore new corners of…

SyFy Renews (and Cancels) ‘Warehouse 13’

SyFy Renews (and Cancels) ‘Warehouse 13’
Nellie Andreeva - Deadline

Syfy has renewed flagship drama Warehouse 13 for a fifth season, which will be its last. Production on the final six-episode installment of the series, on which Jack Kenny serves as executive producer/showrunner, will begin in Toronto this summer for a 2014 run.

A six episode — that means they don’t want to completely tick off fans by not allowing the show to have a well wrapped ending to the series, but they really want it off the air.

SyFy needs a new motto. Something like, “SyFy, where we cancel every single good show and continue to renew trash.” The fact that this show is getting…

Two Clips from ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’

Two Clips from ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’

Even while the Marvel film universe is in full swing, this upcoming TV show hopes to show us another side, a glimpse into an alternative viewpoint of that universe. ABC has picked up the show as I’ve already mentioned on Monday, and we saw a the teaser trailer with that announcement, and now we’ve seen a full trailer.

So in the spirit of continued teasing and promotion, there are two new clips floating around that look pretty fun which expand on quick clips and scenes we’ve already seen in that trailer.

Is it fall yet?

“Someone really wanted our initials to spell out ‘SHIELD’”

YES! Joss Whedon humor! How I’ve missed that on a regular TV show. I’ll tell you what, I think this is going to be my go to TV show this fall. And man is this right up Joss’ alley. Intruige, mystery, and supernatural circumstances. I sure hope this show does well and has many, MANY seasons!

Fresh from his role in the summer’s box office smash, MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS, Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) returns to the worldwide law enforcement organization S.H.I.E.L.D.  He puts together a small, highly trained, team of Agents to…

Conspiracy Theorists Want to Know What S.H.I.E.L.D. Is

Conspiracy Theorists Want to Know What S.H.I.E.L.D. Is
Rising Tide

Who is s.H.I.E.L.D.? What are they hiding? Super-powers are real. Aliens exist. What else is out there? We will uncover the truth. We will not remain silent any longer.

So this is some fun viral marketing for the upcoming TV show Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. This site is supposed to be a group of conspiracy theorists who believe they have compelling evidence that S.H.I.E.L.D. is a thing and they will stop at nothing to discover the truth (as you do).

Who knows exactly how — if at all — this plays into the show, but it’s fun none-the-less.

Here are the videos they have posted to…

‘24’ Gets 12 New Episodes

‘24’ Gets 12 New Episodes
Michael Ausiello - TVLine

Fox has officially restarted the clock on 24.

Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly confirmed Monday during a conference call with reporters that the seminal Kiefer Sutherland thriller will be revived in May 2014 as a limited series event titled 24: Live Another Day.

Speaking of unprecedented (see previous article about Arrested Development).

“[It’s] 24 compressed over 12 weeks,” explained Reilly. “It will go chronologically over the day, but it will skip hours. It will be dictated by the plot.”

I’ve never watched 24, the concept never appealed to me. But I know the show has…

Arrested Development Season 4 Trailer

Arrested Development Season 4 Trailer

I know absolutely nothing about Arrested Development, but I’m posting this trailer because the story of how a season 4 has come to be is interesting. Until now it has practically been unheard of for a TV show to return after being canceled for several years. And yet, here we are, and Netflix is just breaking all the rules. It is definitely a very interesting phenomenon. What is especially interesting is that they were able to get the band back together. One of the most prominent reasons (at least the reasons given to us) why it is so hard to ever put a series back together is that getting…

ABC Picks Up ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’ - With Promo

ABC Picks Up ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’ - With Promo
Nellie Andreeva - Deadline

When all was said and done tonight, ABC picked up a total of 12 new series — seven dramas and five comedies. All comedies are single-camera as ABC passed on both of its multi-camera pilots. Here is how it all came down today as the network opened the pickup process with one Disney-friendly shoo-in pilot, Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D., and closed it with another, the Once Upon A Time spinoff.

Never really any doubt with the momentum behind the Marvel universe right now that this show would get picked up to series. Still, it’s good news so I thought I would share it. I will be watching this NO…

Marvel’s “S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Penciled Into a Slot

Marvel’s “S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Penciled Into a Slot
Nellie Andreeva - Deadline

It’s pilot screening time. CBS just started viewing its pilots, with the other networks slated to follow over the next few days. Feedback from the screenings and extensive focus group testing inform the networks’ series pickup decisions and are capable of catapulting a pilot from an also-run to frontrunner status overnight…

...

It’s tight because two slots have already been penciled in forMarvel‘s S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Once Upon A Time spinoff, whose early footage I hear ABC brass liked.

So that’s a good sign.

One thing is for sure though, in looking over that list of shows and…
