This trailer may be made of of footage we’ve largely already seen, but who of us doesn’t love a good trailer? And who’s not dying to know what Zack Snyder and Christopher Nolan have in store for us with a Superman reboot?

The whole thing with the music is still bugging me. I don’t think we’ve yet heard what it’s going to sound like. And for those who don’t know, those opening notes with the voicing are a direct lift from Hans Zimmer’s Gladiator score. I hope it doesn’t sound anything like that because it would be completely wrong.

Man, Universal is releasing a steady stream of these featurettes for Oblivion. They’ve been focusing on Tom Cruise, using practical effects of CG when possible, the beauty of the film and the scenery, the director Joseph Kosinski and more.

The two I have here today focus on filming on the mountain peak, Earl’s Peak, and filming on set at the New York Public Library with Tom Cruise doing most of his own stunts.

I really love the look of the work they’re doing here and I’m looking forward more and more to this film. I know I’m setting myself up for disappointment, but maybe it will live…

You know, it could be that Stark is such a well known public figure that his address(es) are public knowlege and stuff anyway, but it doesn’t seem like a really good idea to give The Manderin his home address, But whatever.

This clip shows that Tony Stark is pretty ticked at The Manderin about something or other, who knows what. But this seems to be like the prelude to the scene in the trailers where Tony’s home in Malibu is getting blown up so I’m guessing it wasn’t the greatest idea in the world.

So it occurred to me when I saw this trailer that I have not posted anything about this film yet. That is because it does not look interesting to me in the slightest. But I try to cover a broad range of films and whatnot so It seems like I should get some stuff on the site about it. I know literally nothing about the novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald on which this film is based, which may be why I am completely uninterested in the film. It looks like an overly stylized, overly dramatized mess of a film. But it will certainly have appeal to some.

I don’t think I need to remind you that I am greatly looking forward to this film. And apparently the studio is making a big deal out of this film as well because, wow, I can’t remember the last time I have seen so much promotional material coming out for a film. That can either man this film is really good or really bad and the studio is trying to compensate for it. I choose to believe the former.

The director also directed TRON: Legacy so that gives me great hope for the film because I really liked Legacy.

WooHoo! We will see the first trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in just ten days and I’m thrilled to hear that. I enjoyed the first film very much — I rated it 4 of 5 stars in my review. And I enjoyed the book series for the most part and am actually hoping the film series can improve upon some of the weaknesses of the books that crept in (mostly in the last book). Either way, it should be a good ride and I’m looking forward to it.

Love her or hate her, Ellen DeGeneres is Dory from Finding Nemo. The character just wouldn’t be the same without her. And apparently Ellen has been pushing for a sequel for years. I don’t follow Ellen at all so I didn’t know it, but the video she put together below is pretty funny in showing that.
