
In many ways, I have never been satisfied with Cecil B. DeMille’s The Ten Commandments. It didn’t always stick to the biblical tale that I grew up with, and at many points in that film, it feels like the drama is somewhat manufactured.
Enter the director of Gladiator, Ridley Scott. Yes, he can be a bit hit or miss, but he has done a few great films over the years.
